Why can’t you use fingerprint after restarting your phone
“Please use passcode after the phone restarts” you must have seen such a message popping on your screen after you restart your phone and try to unlock it using your fingerprint scanner, so why fingerprint doesn't work after restart?
The simple answer to this question lies in the ease of unlocking your phone using the fingerprint scanner, or it is even correct to say that your fingerprint is way more important than password when it comes to security
Here are the reasons for which fingerprint unlock is restricted after restart
- 1 to protect your phone when someone steals it
- 2 to make you remember your pin
- 3 law in u.s
1 to protect your phone when someone steals it
suppose your phone has been stolen, the first thing a thief will do is to switch off your phone, so its location cannot be traced, now after starting the phone he/she would need a password to unlock it, whereas if it would be unlocked with your fingerprint, which is quite easy to find, even if a small portion of your fingerprint is duplicated, the phone could be unlocked easily.
2 to make you remember your pin
it is a fact that people, most of the time, use the fingerprint sensor to unlock their phone if this continues, people will start to forget their passwords or pins, whenever they are required in case of emergency, even if people restart their phone once a month, it will make them remember their passwords.
3 law in u.s
there is also a law in u.s which states that police can force someone to touch the fingerprint scanner, but cannot force to tell the password
Conclusion-
Were you able to guess the reason for why you cant use fingerprint after restart?
Can you suggest some other ways to enhance security even further?
Either way, you can comment and let me know.
